Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said authorities will follow up and expand the investigation into the truck of explosives seized at a Dahr al-Baidar checkpoint, so that everyone involved is identified, according to the Times of Israel and Arab News. Officials put the cargo in the hundreds of kilograms of TNT and C4; reports differ on the exact total.

Judicial officials said the two detained men were told only to carry the material from the Baalbek area to Beirut, without being told its purpose, according to the Times of Israel. Hezbollah has not confirmed any link to the shipment, Al Jazeera reported.

Lebanese Lobby backs the security services and the judiciary in finding out who ordered and financed the cargo. Guilt is for the courts to establish.
